Yes! What a start we had and last week was unbelievably exciting. 200+ was chased down in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are showing unpredictability as either the teams are getting close or they are just giving up early in the chase. All said and done, at the end of the day it’s about cricket and if we get to see to some exciting games then that’s great.
Here then is a continued rundown on the teams:
DC – batting is clicking, pacers are loving the extra bounce, spinners are turning up in terms of taking wickets. So well it’s exciting for Delhi and they look to be closing the league stage in the top 2 (if not being at the top).
CSK – Faf and Shane are in form and inspite of a weak middle order they could just about get in the top 4.
KXI – a team which is not playing consistently (have the top 2 run getters in the tournament) and yet the last in the league. They have no inspiring captaincy so we predict they won’t do any well.
SRH – Kane is in the team (finally) but with Bhuvi injured the bowling is going to come under more stress. They could end up at 5th or 6th. If they don’t get their combination Right they won’t be able to get into the top 4.
RCB – hit some form with kohli but then yday they gave up meekly against Delhi so continue to be unpredictable. Might get into the top 4.
MI – they finally (and already) have the same XI in every match and definitely seem to have hit their stride. We predict them to be amongst the top 2.
RR – batting is amazing. Bowling isn’t. Yes they chased down 224 but then they leaked 224 runs to start with. Also today they were 12/3 chasing 194 and if not for Buttler it would have been an ugly score. Yes Ben stokes is there so that should ease them. Still on track for a top 4 finish.
KKR – at odds for reasons like Cummins (most expensive bowler) being hit for so many runs already, Dre Russ not hitting form and a pinch hitter like Narine opening (failure in 5 matches).
Exhilarating isn’t it!
